Just booked a little week long excursion to Washington State for next month. We’re flying in to Seattle on June 14th and will be returning on 21st. Should be super sweet, the Pacific Northwest is my favorite region of The States and its been about 6-7 years since I’ve been out there.
Jen’s never been there before, so I’m very sure her mind will be blown. The tentative itinerary is 2-3 days in Seattle, 1 day for The Olympic Nat’l Park/Washington Coastline, and a day for a quick Portland/Mt. St. Helen’s trip. Maybe only 2 days in Seattle and another day split between Mt. St. Helen’s and Mt. Rainier and a full day for Portland… hell, we don’t know maybe we’ll just see what we feel like doing, thats what we usually end up doing on vacations. For our trip to Florida, we literally had no plan except to go to Florida and went with the flow the whole time and it was great.
I’d also like to go out to Spokane and visit some relatives, we’ll have to see.. so much to do so little time.
I’ll for sure be posting some pics when we get back…

you are welcome anytime, Sorry I did not get back to you Paul was out of town. Chip is here. lots happening.
Mt. Rainier is a full day.
to get to the coastal part of Olympic Nat. is a full+ day - actually 2 days. to drive and enjoy. We did it years ago in a camper.
The park entrance north of Port Angeles is wonderful. Dungeness Spit is great. Great views of Vancouver Island and maybe the Aurora Borealis.
there are cheap flights between Seattle and Spokane and its only a 45 min. flight.
In Olympia there is a place called Shipwreck Beads if Jen is into any sort of beading.
Been a cool spring.

Thanks for the info. Don’t worry about it, I figured it was busy at your place with Chip home and whatnot.
We’re pretty hardcore tourists… we drove from Duluth to Miami in 2 days.. and left at noon the first day… and arriving at 3am.. it was insane, but some of the most fun I’ve ever had. Made me totally hate Illinois though; its a super long state to drive through! (much like I would imagine Montana is to drive through)
I’m super pumped about Olympic Nat’l Park.. It was really impressive and is what really sticks out in my mind from my last trip out, even more so than Mt. St. Helens/Mt. Rainier/etc…
We’ve got a rental car, so if anything we’ll try and drive out and see you for a while.. looks like about a 5 hour drive, but, if we leave at 7am we’ll get to your place around noon and if we leave 5-6 at night we’ll be back around 11… have to give you a call when we get out and figure something out.
